My Rock Collection

Before You Read

I have two main rock collections, the first one, I'll call "M" is the larger of the two, one I have been building since 2016. The other, "D" is smaller, and started sometime in spring 2022, and is added to a lot less often. I don't know much about the rocks I collect, I just enjoy looking at them, and can only really identiify a few of the more common ones

Rock Collection M

Rock Collection M is the larger of the two, starting in 2016 when I started picking up any cool rock I saw. Then I was given a rod of what might be Gypsum, pictured below

Then I went to Tennessee, and passed by a rock shop, and got some Opal. Ever since then, this collection has been growing, and finding one store that sells rocks, and another that opened up right by my house, I don't expect for it to stop growing any time soon

Rock Collection D

Rock Collection D started much later, and is in a different location than Rock Collection M. I used to take all rocks from D to M, but eventually had the storage to make my own collection there. It started around Spring 2022, when I went to a really cool town in my area, which I won't be sharing for privacy reasons. Anyways it was really fun, there was a creek, and even a cliff which made a really tiny cave. I kept the rocks in a box, since I had no storage anywhere else at the time. Then I went to a rock shop with the same people who took me to that town, and got more stuff there. Then on Christmas 2022, I finally had enough storage, now it lies in a shelf, alongside a few other rocks from other times I've been creeking.
